Andrei, a young man with a soldier’s past, treks into the dangerous Laveska mountains alongside the veteran Commander Cristian Lazarov. They seek the prestigious Alchemist’s College in that war torn country, hoping to apprentice under the legendary Master Malthus and find a cure for the demon plague ravaging the Empire. But the college is a crumbling fortress of rot, tended by a repulsive servant and a master who is more bandage than man. As the chores grow more macabre and the meat in their stew tastes increasingly familiar, Andrei must realize that some secrets aren’t meant to be discovered… And some memories are the only things keeping the demons at bay.
